Productboard Integration

Why Connect Productboard?

Samepage helps Product Managers stay on top of feature prioritization and customer insights that live in Productboard. By connecting Productboard, Samepage users can:

  • Build Signals to summarize feature request trends and prioritization changes

  • Spot new customer insights and emerging themes

  • Discover status changes and feature movement across the roadmap

  • Use the Samepage Copilot to answer questions or draft documents informed by Productboard data

Integration Type

Shared integration — one admin connects Productboard, and the data is available to all users in the workspace.
This integration cannot be configured to limit scope — Samepage imports all features and notes the connection has access to.

Data Imported

Samepage imports the following from Productboard:

  • Features — Feature names, descriptions, scores, and roadmap status

  • Notes — Customer feedback notes and linked insights

  • Customer insights — Feedback tied to specific customers or segments

  • Status — Feature statuses, prioritization scores, and workflow states

This data is used to help Product Managers track feature prioritization, understand customer demand, and stay current on roadmap changes.

Sync Behavior

  • Initial sync pulls features, notes, and insights from the last 2 years

  • Ongoing syncs pull changes from the last 1 week, refreshing multiple times per day

How to Connect

  1. You must have an existing Samepage account. If you need one, sign up at samepage.ai.

  2. Go to the Integrations page in Samepage.

  3. Find and click Productboard.

  4. Authenticate your Productboard account and accept the requested permissions.

  5. Samepage will begin importing data from Productboard automatically, refreshing multiple times per day.

What You Can Do After Connecting

  • Create Signals that analyze Productboard data — e.g., "Summarize recent features and notes" or "Surface the top requested features this month"

  • Chat with Copilot about Productboard data — e.g., "What are the most requested features this quarter?" or "Which customer insights relate to onboarding?"

  • Combine with other data — Cross-reference Productboard features with Jira tickets, Intercom conversations, or Slack discussions for a complete picture

Signal Examples Using Productboard

Signal

What It Does

Top Requested Features

Surfaces the most requested features based on customer insight volume and scores

New Customer Insights

Highlights recently added customer feedback and notes

Status Changes

Tracks features that moved between statuses or priority tiers this week

Insight Gaps

Identifies features with high priority but few customer insights to validate them

Example Signal Prompt

Here's a detailed prompt you can paste into a Signal's instructions field to get a comprehensive feature prioritization digest:

Review all Productboard activity from the past week and produce a structured summary focused on feature prioritization:

Top Requested Features — List the features with the most customer insights or highest scores. Note how many insights each has and whether the trend is growing. Link to the Productboard feature.

New Customer Insights — Surface recently added notes and customer feedback. Group by feature or theme, and note which customers or segments are represented.

Status Changes — Identify features that changed status this week (e.g., moved to "In Progress," "Planned," or "Won't Do"). Summarize the change and note any context.

Prioritization Shifts — Highlight features where the score or priority changed significantly. Note what drove the change if context is available.

Undervalidated Features — Flag features that are highly prioritized but have few customer insights supporting them, suggesting they may need more validation.

Keep it concise. Use bullet points. Include links to Productboard features wherever possible so I can jump to the source.

FAQ

Does this integration provide clickable links back to the source? Yes. Productboard features and notes include deep links that take you directly to the item in Productboard. When Signals or Copilot reference a feature, you can click through to view the full details in Productboard itself.
