Why Connect Pendo?
Samepage helps Product Managers understand how users engage with their product without constantly checking analytics dashboards. By connecting Pendo, Samepage users can:
Build Signals to track feature adoption, page engagement, and usage patterns
Spot shifts in user behavior — declining feature usage, changes in navigation patterns, account-level trends
Discover which pages and features are driving engagement and which are underperforming
Use the Samepage Copilot to answer questions or draft documents informed by product usage data
Integration Type
Shared integration — one admin connects Pendo, and the data is available to all users in the workspace. This integration cannot be configured to limit which data is imported.
Data Imported
Samepage imports the following from Pendo:
Features — Feature definitions and feature-level usage analytics
Pages — Page definitions and page-level engagement data
Visitor metadata — Visitor attributes and behavioral data
Account metadata — Account-level attributes and usage data
Usage analytics — Aggregated usage metrics across features and pages
This data is used to help Product Managers understand product engagement, identify adoption gaps, and spot behavioral trends.
Sync Behavior
Initial sync performs a full sync of all available data (not time-based)
Ongoing syncs perform a full sync of all available data

What You Can Do After Connecting
Create Signals that analyze Pendo data — e.g., "Summarize Pendo trends" or "Flag any features where usage dropped more than 15% this week"
Chat with Copilot about usage data — e.g., "Which features have the highest adoption among enterprise accounts?" or "How is page engagement trending for the new dashboard?"
Combine with other data — Cross-reference product usage with support tickets, call transcripts, or roadmap items for a complete picture
Signal Examples Using Pendo
Signal | What It Does |
Feature Adoption Overview | Summarizes usage levels across all tracked features and flags significant changes |
Page Engagement Trends | Tracks which pages are seeing increased or decreased engagement over time |
Account Health by Usage | Identifies accounts with declining product usage that may indicate churn risk |
Underperforming Features | Surfaces features with low adoption relative to expectations or investment |
Example Signal Prompt
Here's a detailed prompt you can paste into a Signal's instructions field to get a comprehensive product usage digest:
Review all Pendo data and produce a structured summary organized as follows:Feature Adoption — List the top 10 features by usage volume. For each, note the current usage level and whether it's trending up or down compared to the previous period. Flag any features with significant changes.Page Engagement — Summarize the most-visited and least-visited pages. Identify any pages where engagement has shifted meaningfully — either growing or declining.Account-Level Patterns — Highlight any accounts showing notable usage patterns — heavy adoption of new features, declining engagement, or unusual behavior. Group by account segment if possible.Visitor Trends — Summarize how visitor behavior is changing. Are users engaging with more or fewer features? Is session depth increasing or decreasing?Needs Attention — Call out any features, pages, or accounts that look concerning — low adoption for a recently launched feature, sudden engagement drops, or accounts that have gone quiet. Include enough context to decide whether to investigate further.Keep it concise. Use bullet points. Reference specific feature and page names so I can cross-check in Pendo.
FAQ
Does this integration provide clickable links back to the source? No. Pendo data is imported as aggregated usage metrics, so Signals and Copilot responses will reference specific features, pages, and accounts by name rather than linking directly to Pendo dashboards.
Privacy
Pendo data is never used to train AI models. Usage data and metadata are processed only to generate Signal outputs and Copilot responses. See Data Handling for more information.
