Why Connect Gong?
Samepage helps Product Managers tap into the voice of the customer without sitting through every sales or success call. By connecting Gong, Samepage users can:
Build Signals to surface feature requests, objections, and competitor mentions across calls
Spot recurring customer pain points and emerging themes
Discover product feedback buried in sales and CS conversations
Use the Samepage Copilot to answer questions or draft documents informed by call transcripts
Integration Type
Shared integration — one admin connects Gong, and the data is available to all users in the workspace. This integration cannot be configured to limit which data is imported.
Data Imported
Samepage imports the following from Gong:
Call transcripts — Full transcripts from recorded calls
Call summaries — Gong-generated summaries including brief, highlights, key points, and outline
Participants — Names and roles of people on each call
Call metadata — Title, date/time, duration, and other call details
Users — Gong user profiles
Workspaces — Gong workspace information
This data is used to help Product Managers research customer needs, competitive positioning, and product feedback themes.
Sync Behavior
Initial sync pulls call data from the last 3 months
Ongoing syncs pull call data from the last 1 week

What You Can Do After Connecting
Create Signals that analyze Gong calls — e.g., "Summarize recent calls" or "Surface the top objections prospects raised this week"
Chat with Copilot about call content — e.g., "What are customers saying about our pricing?" or "Which competitors came up most in sales calls this month?"
Combine with other data — Cross-reference call insights with Jira tickets, Slack discussions, or support data for a complete picture
Signal Examples Using Gong
Signal | What It Does |
Customer Intelligence Summary | Surfaces feature requests, objections, and pain points across recent calls |

Example Signal Prompt
Here's a detailed prompt you can paste into a Signal's instructions field to get a comprehensive customer intelligence digest:
Review all Gong calls from the past week and produce a structured summary organized as follows:Feature Requests — List every feature request or product wish mentioned by a customer or prospect. For each one, include who said it, which call it came from, and how strongly they expressed the need. Group similar requests together.Objections & Pushback — Surface every objection, concern, or reason a prospect gave for hesitating. Note the context and which call it came from. Rank by frequency if the same objection appears multiple times.Competitor Mentions — Identify every mention of a competitor. For each, note what was said, whether the comparison was favorable or unfavorable, and which specific capabilities were compared.Pain Points & Themes — Identify the top 3-5 recurring customer pain points or themes across all calls this week. Note which calls touched each theme.Urgent Signals — Call out any calls where a customer expressed strong dissatisfaction, churn risk, or an urgent unmet need. Include enough context to decide whether to follow up.Keep it concise. Use bullet points. Include links to Gong recordings wherever possible so I can jump to the source.
FAQ
Does this integration provide clickable links back to the source? Yes. Gong calls include links that take you directly to the recording in Gong. When Signals or Copilot reference a call, you can click through to view the full transcript and recording in Gong itself.
