What is the Samepage MCP Server?
The Samepage MCP server lets external AI tools securely connect to your Samepage data using the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard for connecting AI assistants to outside data sources.
In short: it brings the same data and tools that power Samepage Copilot into the AI client of your choice. Once connected, your AI tool can search your connected sources, look up Signals, reference your playbook, and query product analytics, all grounded in your live Samepage data.
What Can I Do With It?
When you connect an MCP client to Samepage, your AI tool gains access to the same read-only toolset as Copilot:
Search your connected sources: query across the tools you've integrated (Slack, Jira, CRM, meeting transcripts, and more)
Look up specific records: resolve a ticket, deal, account, or document by its identifier
Search the Samepage knowledge base: answer product and how-to questions about Samepage itself
Work with your Signals: list your Signals and pull the full content of any one of them
Reference your personal playbook: list, search, and fetch your documented product-management methods and artifacts
Query product analytics: if your workspace has Mixpanel or Pendo connected, list available analytics resources and run reports
Source-dependent tools only appear if you actually have those sources connected, so your AI client is never offered a tool it can't use.
Which AI Tools Can I Connect?
Any MCP-compatible client works. Examples include Claude (desktop and web), Cursor, and other tools that support remote MCP servers over HTTP. Add Samepage as a custom or remote MCP server using the connection URL below, and your client handles the rest.
How Do I Connect?
In your MCP client, add a new remote (custom) MCP server. In Claude, for example, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
Give it a name (e.g. Samepage) and use the Samepage MCP endpoint as the server URL:

Leave any optional OAuth client ID / secret fields blank. They aren't needed. Click Add.
Your client will prompt you to sign in. Authentication uses OAuth, so you'll log in with your existing Samepage credentials (the same email/password or social login you use for the app). There are no API keys to copy or manage.
Approve the connection. Your client discovers the available tools automatically.
Is It Secure?
Yes. A few key points:
You log in as yourself. Access is authenticated through Samepage's standard OAuth login, so the connection is tied to your own account and permissions.
It respects your data boundaries. The MCP server sees exactly what Copilot sees, no more. Personal integrations (like Gmail, Google Calendar, Granola, and Zoom) stay private to you and are never exposed to other workspace members through MCP.
It's read-only. The MCP tools retrieve and analyze data. They cannot modify, delete, or post anything in Samepage or your connected tools.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this let other people see my data? No. The connection is authenticated as you and is limited to the data you can already access in Samepage. Personal integration data stays personal.
Can the AI tool change or delete my data? No. The MCP server exposes read-only tools. It can retrieve and analyze, but not write, edit, or delete.
Why don't I see all the tools listed above? Some tools only appear when the relevant data is connected. For example, the analytics tools require a Mixpanel or Pendo integration on your workspace, and source-search tools require at least one connected integration.
Privacy
Samepage processes your data only to fulfill your requests and never uses it to train AI models. The MCP server enforces the same access controls and personal-vs-shared data boundaries as the rest of Samepage. You can review and manage what data sources Samepage can access at any time from your integration settings.
