Why Connect OneDrive?
Samepage helps Product Managers stay on top of documents and files stored in OneDrive. By connecting OneDrive, Samepage users can:
Build Signals to track document activity and recent edits
Spot newly uploaded files and documents needing review
Discover updates to shared files and folders
Use the Samepage Copilot to answer questions or draft documents informed by OneDrive data
Integration Type
Personal integration — each user connects their own OneDrive account. The file data imported is private to that user and not visible to others in the workspace.
This integration can be configured to select specific files and folders. Only data from selected items will be imported.
Data Imported
Samepage imports the following from OneDrive:
Documents — Word documents, Excel files, PowerPoint presentations, and other file content
Content — Text and structured content from supported file types
Activity — Recent edits, new uploads, and file changes
This data is used to help Product Managers track document updates, find recently changed files, and stay current on collaborative work.
Sync Behavior
Initial sync pulls documents and activity from the last 3 months
Ongoing syncs pull changes from the last 2 weeks, refreshing multiple times per day
How to Connect
You must have an existing Samepage account. If you need one, sign up at samepage.ai.
Go to the Integrations page in Samepage.
Find and click OneDrive.
Authenticate your Microsoft account and accept the requested permissions.
Select the files and folders you want Samepage to import.
Samepage will begin importing data from OneDrive automatically, refreshing multiple times per day.
What You Can Do After Connecting
Create Signals that analyze OneDrive activity — e.g., "Summarize recently updated files" or "Surface documents that were uploaded this week"
Chat with Copilot about OneDrive data — e.g., "What changed in the product roadmap deck?" or "Which files were updated in the shared folder this week?"
Combine with other data — Cross-reference OneDrive documents with Teams messages, email threads, or Jira tickets for a complete picture
Signal Examples Using OneDrive
Signal | What It Does |
Document Tracking | Summarizes recently edited files and highlights what changed |
New Uploads | Surfaces newly uploaded or created files in selected folders |
Files Needing Review | Identifies documents that were recently shared with you or updated by collaborators |
Stale File Finder | Flags important documents that haven't been updated recently |
Example Signal Prompt
Here's a detailed prompt you can paste into a Signal's instructions field to get a comprehensive document tracking digest:
Review all OneDrive activity from the past week and produce a structured summary focused on document tracking:
Recently Edited Files — List each file that was modified, noting what type of file it is, who made the edit, and a brief summary of the changes. Link to the OneDrive file.
New Uploads — Surface any newly uploaded or created files in the selected folders. Note the file type, who uploaded it, and a brief summary of the content.
Files Needing Review — Identify documents that were recently shared with me or updated by others that I haven't opened yet.
Key Document Changes — For important documents (specs, roadmaps, presentations), provide a more detailed summary of what changed and whether the changes need my attention.
Keep it concise. Use bullet points. Include links to OneDrive files wherever possible so I can jump to the source.
FAQ
Does this integration provide clickable links back to the source? Yes. OneDrive files include deep links that take you directly to the file in OneDrive. When Signals or Copilot reference a file, you can click through to view the full content in OneDrive itself.
Privacy
OneDrive data is never used to train AI models. Documents and metadata are processed only to generate Signal outputs and Copilot responses. Because this is a personal integration, your file data is only visible to you. See Data Handling for more information.
